Requiem for Varna is a short fictional film, which was developed through an extensive two-week art residency in Varna, Bulgaria. Through engagement with a local community, historical context and psychogeography walks, the resulted work explores an intimate and complex relationship between a young Bulgarian man and the Black Sea.
