Through My Window is an essay film, which was shot during the early days of motherhood. While dealing with entirely new feelings and perceptions, the film captures daily tasks, repetitions and monotonous activities, forming a larger part of human lifes. To cope with struggles of daily repetitions and often feeling trapped, I turned to camera to record passing seasons and fleeting time, while realising the new motherhood significance and meaning towards a deeper understanding of the ephemeral everyday experiences that ultimately shape our human existence. “What is the meaning of life? That was all- a simple question; one that tended to close in on one with years, the great revelation had never come. The great revelation perhaps never did come. Instead, there were little daily miracles, illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark; here was one.” Virginia Woolf
